Old copper etched blocks, used for printing newspaper ads. They were made by coating a sheet of copper with wax. An artist would draw an image into the wax and expose the copper. The work was then dipped in acid to etch the copper with an image and then mounted onto wooden blocks for printing. In this photo, the blocks are displayed in an old type drawer from a printer's cabinet. The drawer measures 3" x 5". Taken with a Nikon 105mm f/2.8 AFS VR lens. Nikon SB-800 flash unit used, with bounce and diffusion dome.
