TRAPPED SQUIRREL - ISO 400

The squirrels usually cannot get on our bird feeders. There are large plastic domes hanging over the feeders and the squirrels usually slide off, if they try. This one managed to catch the bottom of the feeder as he was falling. At that point, he was trapped because it was too far to jump back to the deck rail and was a long way down to the ground or the nearest tree. After about 30 minutes, I finally had to go out on the deck, waving my arms and forcing him to jump. Fortunately, he was not injured, but I suspect he will not try to get on the feeder again!

Taken with a Nikon 80-400 VR lens.
