Sta Maria da Vitoria Monastery at Batalha village.
King João I ordered the monastery to be built in gratitude to the Virgin Mary for
the Portuguese victory at the battle of Aljubarrota in 1385. The monastery
illustrates the history of Portugal and its rich artistic heritage.

One day, not too far away from today, this picture shall be no more than a memory, cherished by last Mohicans and raise no more than indifference to Lords of the Future. Yes, Noemia, it´s sad , but the way things are going by , I see no other issue. Your picture is good and a good tribute to a time when principles were a reason to fight for. Abraço, jorge
