Jean Jaures was a socialist MP for the town of Carmaux, murdered in july 1914 because he was opposed to a war with Germany.
Jean Jaurès, député socialiste de la ville de Carmaux, assassiné en juillet 1914 à cause de son opposition à la guerre avec l'Allemagne.
His grave is now in the Pantheon in Paris / Sa tombe est au Panthéon à Paris:
