How big is this particular duck. I have seen something that I think is similar,but the one I saw was only 4-5 inchs long and was a solid dark gray. Its a diver in a very funny way. It does not dive head first like a loon. But instead it kinda shakes and then sinks. It is very shy also. I was hideing behind a bush and playing peek-a-boo, til it got fed up I guess and went farther out into the river. But before I tell anyone wear I saw this tiny little fellow. I want to be sure its not a new species.
