I was very impressed with your Anguilla photos. In particular, with the hammock shot. Its original ideas like these that separate the true artist from the wannabes.

Your picture looking down the Bedford basin to Bedford clearly illustrates and confirms my father Jack McCallum description of how he witnessed the Halifax explosion in 1917 and literally saw the ship in the air above the harbour. He was on the shore road ( east of the present railway tracks facing down the basin ( 10 years old at the time) My mother was a direct descendant of the Albro family ( nee Jessie Albro Gibson) granddaughter of Mary Albro. The Albro Lakes (named after the family can be seen very well in the shot of Dartmouth. Pictures are very impressive, brings back a lot of memories B.McC

Hi Craig:
I sent a message two days ago, but now I have a question. I notice in the album I looked of NS pictures you tend to shoot wide open, or close to it. Did this tendency evolve or has it been an a way of life. The results are superb anyway.

Hi Hans

Yes, I remember those shots! They were shot on something called "film". :>)
I'm only posting digital images on this site. Shut down my slide scanner a couple of years ago!

Hi Craig,
I was searching the inet for photo's of Taylors Head Provincial Park and came upon your gallary. My wife's family at one time owned the land that is now Taylors Head Provincial Park. The meadow pictures that you took were very close to if not exactly where the family home once was. I am trying to put together a web site for the family, for christmas, and would like to use some of the pictures that you have posted. Please email me if this would be ok.
Again geat job, and I hope to hear form you soon.
