Another thing besides his posture that caught my eye was that he wasn't looking at anything- not out at the ocean to his right or to the park area to his left. I removed the color because I thought the green grass was too distracting. I also debated cropping out the trash can, but decided to leave it as metaphor. JeffryZ

you have been able to capture a good sense of loneliness here. I think it's the posture of the man and the tones of the image. Nice composition

Very smoth tones. The tones and the compsostion do very well in projecting a feeling of lonelyness.

I like the composition. The corner 'action', the position at the extremity of the bench, the guy postureand of course using B&W ; They all reinforce the impression of solitude. Even the garbage can does not want him.
