the feather duster by Peggy

The first thing I thought of when I saw this challenge topic is our reef tank. The living corals are just amazing creatures and each has a distinct texture.

In response to some of the questions regarding this image: it was shot through glass of a reef aquarium. And it's not really that small, probably over 2 inches from one tip of a feather across to the other. I appreciate the comments, as it was hard to get the detail of this with the low light and constantly moving water :) thanks everyone.

Very pleasant picture of a beautiful coral. Hats of, Peggy.

yup - very beautiful peggy. I very much appreciate how difficult it is to capture images of aquarium life. I echo Claudio's comments, and would add that your colour balance seems perfect - the water is crystal clear - could almost be air. thanks.

Beautiful and very unusual! and you captured it very well from behind the glass. The good DOF isolates it very well

Hi Peggy. This is a beautiful photo. Whatever the "thing" is, you got a great shot of it.

It's from an aquarium or "natural" water?

Very delicate creature, Peggy, and nicely captured. Must be a rather small thing isn't it ?
