g'day Fred - since yesterdays events, i've attempted and failed to provide feedback on 2 occassions - a very emotive image - i'd almost be tempted to shoot from a lower position - keeping the stones as the 100% background. thanks. adrianox

Thanks cbses for your comment and the tip. I tried it at once and you are right, it makes a pretty cool effect to apply gaussian blur on the background.

Fred, this is cool - makes me think Pompeii. Although this might subtract from the overall "texture and structure" theme, you might want to try (just for giggles) a gaussian blur on just the background. I did this and it really highlighted the head and emphasized it's structure.
