Alain, your photo has a nice drape to it ; >)
Nice find - meets criteria well and creatively.

Alain .. Gee, man, you make me wish to delete my samples for this competition. This is outstanding!

I liked this before you posted the original - and now I like it even more. Hope that someday I can develop your talent for seeing beyond the lens. Thanks.

Alain,
I have to assume these are vertical blinds... but taken totally out of context, they've got everyone guessing. Another image here I really like.

that is neat -- love the angles, Alain. I also thought it was a light fixture of some kind.

I guess Paul is right - I wonder why ;)
The usage of 'window drapery' is widespread in Belgium. Maybe it's because many houses are built on a short distance to the street, and to keep some privacy, people use this kind of drapery. But in the neighbouring 'Holland' (where houses are also built short to each other) the usage is far less. So I guess this must be a 'Belgian' thing... Nevertheless I must admit I don't like them in general (it gives me a feeling of people trying to hide something - this also explains the title).
I'll post an 'origin' pic to clarify the subject. The only thing I 'boosted' a bit are the 'circles' of light appearing underneath the drapery, for providing some 'anchor' point. The rest is curves and USM.
Thanks for the compliments.

Alain

Great one! I also have no idea on what it is (some sort of translucent ceiling treatment?) , but I like the "drawing" like feeling of this shot produced by the dark edges contrasting with the light. Very well done

Very well done Alain. For those guessing, this is proof for me that he lives on the Belgian side of the border. Paul.

No idea either, but I like it.

I too, have no idea what this is -- ceiling or wall covering? -- but I like it very much. Nice lines and light terminating in (or originating from) the dark objects. Nice.

Hi Alain, I haven't a clue what it is? But I love the composition, very effective.
