this is great -- as other's mentioned, the composition is what makes this shot.

this color key works very fine on this one, also the composition guides the eye through the pic. Well done.

Very very good, congratulations. I love the angle, the lines and that red colour catch my attention.

LOL! If you think these are the original colors, adrianox, you're wrong ! Originally they were dark green and since the pic was taken on a cloudy day, low contrast. My first attempts to make them red were horrible. After some tweaking (don't ask me what I did precisely...), I got the right 'tone' but it was too flat. Finally I added some dark side to the poles using the burn tool. I cloned out also some distracting parked cars at the far end.

The most exciting thing about this pic is how it was brought to my attention. That day I had to wait for somebody who had an appointment in town. It was sort of a dull neighbourhoud and for 'killing the time' I decided to have a stroll with my A1. I had noticed the poles at a roundabout and already made some shots at the opposite side. After a while I came back, approaching the poles in the pic above, and... did not 'see' the opportunity ! It was only accidentally that I noticed the nice perspective as I glanced at the LCD on the A1 hanging down from my neck (and luckily the zoom was set at wide angle). That made me wonder how many good shots I must have been missing (and will be missing), even being on a shooting session.

Oh, BTW, thanks for your kind words !

Alain

yup - got that Alain magic! - as always it's the lines, and perspective - i'd almost be tempted to change the colour of the posts to something 'unexpected' - thanks, as always

Hi Alain,
Great spot and execution. I also love the simplicity of this one and the line created by your very simple and effective coloured highlighting. Even the leaning adds to the twist in a way that draws me in and takes me where the poles are leading.
Cheers, John

I like how the posts lead one's eye. Nice composition.

Alain, not only an apt entry to this challenge but an excellent example of how leading lines draw the eyes into the picture. I like it's simplicity. well done.

Thanks Paul and Bobby for your comments. I posted a slightly re-processed variant, which is a bit less 'hard'.

Hi Alain, I like it. I have the impression that it is a little oversharped. Try a contrast mask and you will see that the grain of the pavement and the grass become more
detailed. (Unless it was your intention to show "hard" lines) Paul.

Very nice, Alain! Love the lines!
