November 3, 2004 — The first annual Birthday Ball fund raiser to celebrate the opening of Toronto General Hospital's new Transplant Center in Toronto, Canada. It was also a celebration of the "new" birthdays of transplant recipients who have been given a second chance at life. The $140,000 raised will help Toronto General Hospital maintain it's status as a world model in organ transplants and patient care. It is also a world class institution in the education of transplant health professionals and transplant research. As a lung transplant recipient I am pleased to be a volunteer for the Toronto General & Western Hospital foundation and a member of the planning committee for the gala.
