Ford Mustang.jpg (553)

Somewhere in Peoria

Today was not a good day (for me) for taking photo's. Seems none were all that good. ( see here: http://www.pbase.com/ms_mimi69/newly_uploaded_photos ) So I chose this one to share as a PaD.

other sizes: small medium original auto

I had one of those in the short Boss version. Thgis is a 351 Boss Fast Back. It was the predecessor of the Mach1.
Those had 2 engines types to choose from. The 351 Windsor with a wide angle V8 and long stroke, a real torquer that I owed in 1971 and the second was the 350 Cleveland Used in the early GT40 series for racing. The Cleveland was a real High Rev Engine and was used later in the Mach 1 and other cars like the De Tomaso Panthera GTS.
They where good cars, hell of a power but bad road holders and very thirsty.

A classic American sports car (which, you may like to know, was intended to rival European sports cars, such as those made by Jaguar and Triumph).
