Rifle above is one of the SPIW Prototypes made up by Springfield Armouries. ThIs is in the Bullpup configuration, as seen on PP 47 of the SPIW Book by Collector Grade Pubs.

The rifle below is the Harrington and Richardson submission for the SPIW, as seen on page 55 of the SPIW book. This is the infamous "Triple Bore Round", fitted with a plastic cylindered manually operated 3 shot grenade launcher. Weighed in at 23.9 lbs.

"The H&R SPIW was immediately pronounced "unsafe to shoot" by officers at Aberdeen conducting the initial proof of contract performance examinations, and the program was abandoned with no futher testing being attempted." (The SPIW, The Greatest Weapon that Never Was. Collector Grade Pubs, Page 55)
