yep I call this one Brian. It was for my friend who turned 50 years young in April 08. We've been best friends for 20 years and we had a lot of history, and I talked with his wife and his parents who've known him even longer. I woodburned a lot of memories on this stick. I embedded an uncirculated silver
Franklin Half Dollar from 1958 (his year of birth) in the head. This one is coated with seven to ten coats of Spar Urethane to really protect the woodburning from UV rays and dampness.

The stick is interesting itself-I cut it from a large cedar tree that is still laying on its side-that fell during Hurricane Ivan's inland backlash in 2004.

This was a lot of fun to make, very time intensive. We had a few tears at the party for sure.
