When I was a child there were thousands of these old roads, but today most of them are gone. They bring back memories of horses and old farm wagons. I miss the smell of the horses, and the sound the chains and noise the metal tires made on the rocks. My grand father allowed me to pull on the real brake lever when we went down steep grades..
