This image of me was made by E.J. Gaines on a weekend picture making field trip. I had just purchased the Nikon S2 rangefinder camera from him. Paid him twenty five dollars down amd twenty five dollars a month for four more months. I still have the down payment record. Gaines had another camera like this one and did not need two of them.
He had been to the Nikon Factory in Japan, and they had given him a developer additive to use in D 76. I used this additive until plus X was dropped by kodak. Made some almost grain free 11x14's, and in 1959 this was unheard of from 35mm film. The additive dropped the film speed to around 60 asa.
