I took this photo at a party for our dental detachment. Those in the party who are wearing an olive green military uniform are KATUSA’s (Korean Augmentation to the US Army).
A katusa is a Korean draftee who demonstrates a high level of English fluency and aptitude. These soldiers of the South Korean Army are given assignments on US Army bases in South Korea. These Katusas were assigned to my dental clinic.
