Originally dating from the 1950's, the B-52 has held on to it's niche in the USAF arsenal. It is pushed by eight Pratt & Whitney TF33-P-3 turbofan engines to a maximum speed just under 600 mph and reaches a maximum ceiling of 55,000 ft.
