He's very cool! I actually like these big guys better than the little ones that move so fast and hide. Is this a Mexican tarantula?

Certainly is a colorful thing. And large!

What a great sharp shot. Although they're quite beautiful, you couldn't pay me enough to let it anywhere near me. Interesting how it has that perfectly square pattern. Linda S

No, that's a brunette with a bad dye job :-))

Verry scary for me - they have to be the other side of a thick glass tank! Great picture though.

Love it! I had a red-knee tarantula as a pet for a long time - they are an exceptionally interesting arachnoid.

Oh dear, I have got shivers running down my spine just looking at it. Brilliant capture though Mark.

Not my idea of a pet, but if you have to have a tarantula, this is sure a beautiful one. I wonder if they relate to their owners.

Is it a mexican red-kneed? I used to have one called Rodney Red-Knees :D
They are amazing! Great shot! V

Great shot, great spider, I don't mind spiders, but this one is just a little too big.
Jack Hoying12-Aug-2009 04:49
I think it's a dye-job on the spider! Excellent shot of it at 3200 ISO.
