This was formerly the home of the harbourmaster, who maintained the light. It lost is function in 1942 after big portions of land were reclaimed from the Zuiderzee. The lighthouse has recently been fully restored. The lighthouse is privately owned and cannot be visited but there is a bicycle path around the parameter.
