These Spider Jasper earrings that incorporate the ear wires into the overall aesthetics of the piece were inspired by Rachel Savane’s work and recent “Jewelry Artist” article. The overall feel of these earrings is so similar to her work I consider it a knock off. I did however refine her design slightly, instead of soldering two different sized wires together as she suggests in her article I drew the 14-gauge wire down to 20 gauge so that the wire was a single piece and stepped down for the ear wires.
