With the economic and social changes that are happening in China comes more possibility for the Chinese to be tourists. So, he is probably from China.

Yes, we can't start them too young now can we! The fact that his western style dress indicates he is probably a tourist as well, I would never have known if it were a child who lived nearby and was trying out somebody's camera. He probably just loves the fact that he is operating a real camera and has no idea or even interest in what he is shooting! What fun!

We can't know if he is shooting the ground in front of him, or playing back a picture he just might have taken of his mom and dad standing in front of an old palace. But his intense interest in his work is palpable. I know that you hope he is shooting something on the ground, because that is what you could well be taking if you were he.

I also like that he seems to be stepping into the process. I hope what he is taking a picture of is on the ground in front of him.

A study in incongruity -- a young child photographing ancient history. He also wears the iconic Mickey Mouse on his shirt.
