Looking at this image, it's hard to realize how difficult it is to photograph this area. It's usually filled with people exiting doors and walking up and down the passageway. The fact that you were able to get such a unique shot is amazing and, as such, the image is extraordinary.

As my image "Sweepers" (http://www.pbase.com/mityam/image/93683030 ) in the Pingyao Gallery shows, I think it may be some time before they completely change to the new ways.
