This mural was one of the first things I noticed when we arrived in town. I went back to see if I could make an image that showed how the people might interact with the image. This man was having his breakfast.

Incongruity thy name is JJ and Snow White!! Interesting imports from the West!!! So interesting, that these two fellows seem oblivious to it! We Westerners seem more sensitive to the "culture shock" than the residents of PingYao.

The man eating his soup looks like he is one of the Disney characters, but one that has escaped the still life on the wall.

The Disney rip-off on the walls of the ancient city of Pingyao is incongruous enough in itself. You make it even more incongruous by adding the guy eating on the street and the cop who sees neither Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, or the fellow having his breakfast. The characters on the wall, and each of the characters on the street exist in separate worlds. Only you can bring them together for us.
