This shows just how small we really are in the scheme of things. The schoolhouse is tiny as compared with the events going on in the sky. I too like your vertical composition, which really emphasizes my point, I think.
I love your vertical interpretation of this scene, one that I chose to shoot horizontally (http://www.pbase.com/pnd1/image/69229810 ) Your sky has greater range of intensity and coloration, and your school house is much smaller, stressing scale incongruity. Because of white balance used, my sky, sand, and schoolhouse appears differently as well. I l like your framing very much --I never thought of making a vertical out of this shot. But you did, and you do it so well.
