I love your interpretation of this. Instead of concentrating on the God's Ray itself, you pull back and bring light to the valley as a whole, as well as the sky above it.

There is something so silent about the first light of the day, somthing which this image reflects very well. I love starting the day this way. The first hint of the daybreak...
