As viewed from Sand Island. The tall antenna masts - 350' tall - were part of the tropo scatter arrays that a private contractor (PAGE) once operated - - these were not part of NSGA's activities.
Until I got moved over to Eastern Island, I birthed on Sand Island and took a landing craft across to Eastern Island to work.
