Searching for old ghost towns and mining towns was one of my favorite parts of this trip through Utah! Love exploring the old cemeteries!
This is Castle Gate Cemetery. In doing a little research when I got back home, I learned that many of the graves were those of miners
who were killed in a horrific mine explosion in 1924. There is evidence of the mine nearby. Tragic, yet interesting history.
