Made my first attempt to maneuver around with my camera and tripod! The crutches are a real drag! (Still not supposed to be doing anything
until I see my surgeon on December 8th, but one can only go so long without photographing!!) I will probably use a couple of
the shots I took this evening to try and catch up with my PAD!

As someone who has never really gotten into the SP thing, I’m going to overkill here! A friend gave me this beautiful antique mantel
she had restored for me. Since my ability to walk and move is pretty limited, I have taken a series of SP in the mirror
behind the mantel! Promise this won’t become a habit! ;-)

Since a few of you have asked, the piece of equipment attached to my tripod is a Bogen Ball Head, Model 3025,
and the tripod is a Bogen Model 3001.

And the EXIF info on this shot is:

Flash Used No
Focal Length 17 mm
Exposure Time 1/10 sec
Aperture f/4
ISO Equivalent 400
Exposure Bias -1/3
White Balance (-1)
Metering Mode matrix (5)

other sizes: small medium original auto

A beautiful SP and so glad you have the camera in your hands again....well, on a tripod at least. I know you are, too. Was it hard getting back up off the floor? LOL

This is very well done, Mindy. The candles give it a nice glow. Lucky you with a friend who gives mantels. You look great, hope you're doing great.
Guest 04-Dec-2005 05:04
Fantastic SP, Mindy! I agree, the lighting/candles provide a very pleasing warmth and richness in tones. And you've exposed it very nicely. You seem to be doing quite well with the camera despite the foot injury, glad to see your slowly able to get back into it. And from what I can see, your friend has done a wonderful job in the restoration of the antique mantel. .

Making use of the remote control Mindy. I hope the doctor has some great news for you when you go. I'll be praying for you. I like how the candles are lighting your face. You know you are getting good at the SP thing. That's a neat tripod indeed, I will look that up on ebay tonight.
PS I like how you fixed your hair.

noearlybird04-Dec-2005 02:19
Oh but it is such a nice picture, a habit would not be a bad thing at all. You have such a great smile! Is that your baby pics on the mantel? Yes what is holding the camera?

Neat shot -- fun, warm, and cozy. (Snazzy looking 'pod, too. What is it (and the gadget holding the camera)?) I'd be interested to know the technical details on the shot (since there's no exif data). Nice work.
Breland04-Dec-2005 02:09
Glad to see that you are mobile enough to set up this wonderful SP. The candles add a special touch.
