Tears of Emotion

Spent the weekend helping to "downsize" my parents' possessions, as they will most likely be moving into a one level home.
It is amazing how sentimental one becomes in times like these... This is one of their beautiful bushes in front of their home.
Not exactly a typical Memorial Day celebration, though going through old photographs of my Grandfather, who served in WWI,
was a vivid reminder of the significance and meaning of the day.

Beautiful Rhododendron. Flowers are alway an appropriate tribute.

The good news is the memories go with them to the new home. I'll admit this brought tears to my eyes.

Beautiful shot. This bush can probably be trimmed and dug and balled in burlap and moved to YOUR HOUSE.

Mindy, the flowers are beautiful. Think the plant can be transplanted? :-D

What a beauty! I can see why they'd hate to leave this behind.
