View for the Day

Spent over eleven hours at the hospital for my Mom's second surgery. Surgery was only three and a half hours. The rest was just waiting.
Had a view of the hospital's helipad, along with a view of the city. The windows are all double glass, with the blinds contained between.
No way to get the blinds out of the way to photograph, so I shot right thru them. Not the most artistic photos, but my view for today.

Surgery went as expected. As the surgeon had expected. We had hoped for a better outcome! Lots of rehab and a knee replacement in the future.
Four to six more weeks with the heavy steel exterior fixator screwed into her leg.

Great work, and a good distraction for you under the circumstances. Nice composition.

Great collection of images. The helicopter landing is really cool.
