Nikon vs Sigma at long end: 50mm

Sigma at the longest zoom side, Nikkor has some room left beyond 50 mm. Sigma is much faster at this setting: f/2.8 vs f/4.5. Custom WB, default contrast, saturation and sharpening.

Hi Jugos, you can find more differences in everyday use between those two lenses than is present in this shot. That's why I've switched from the kit lens to Sigma 18-50 at the time of this test. Hovever, I have recently changed from Sigma 18-50 to Sigma 17-70 that satisfies my needs even more. Please check 17-70 vs 18-50 gallery for that matter. Regards, Miljenko

What I see from this test is that Nikkor has similar sharpness at all apertures, but has slightly worser contrast...

What is your personal impression?
