For most high resolution primes (like the Nikkor 50/1.8 shown) and rare zooms, like Sigma 120-300/2.8 and Nikkor 70-200 f/2.8 VR (both tested for resolution), more subtle sharpening is needed. Within all tried possibilities I reccomend Photoshop Sharp under filters. Allthough it sounds very plain and non-sofisticated, it gives most natural results, very sharp but with no artifacts. Very similar results (but not that "invisible" are NCE 2% and PS Unsharp Mask set at 0.2 pixels).
