I never noticed before - why do the gnome's eyes look a little bloodshot? Maybe it's allergies. . .

The experiment was very successfull.Tack sharp on subject and a very pleasing bokeh of the lawn.

Superb example Paul.

very well done!

A great example of how to get shallow DOF with a small sensor, which often gives us sharp focus front to back. When are you going to start giving workshops for big money, like the pro's do?

Very nice Paul, love that back ground, makes the Subject pop right out of the image.

Very nicely done. I love the smooth background.

Here's a happy chappy, excellent focus and colour.

Cute little elf, and the smooth, creamy background sets him off beautifully.

A very good example! Always helps when the subject isn't very close to the camera.

Excellent example of cabin fever. Eric, I mean shallow DOF

I love the subtle texture in the background and the soft light.

An excellent example. The DOF of the subject is good, the isolation from the background is excellent.

A very sharp image - Does Laura believe it to be an excellent self-portrait of yourself
