Such a great feeling to travel through the forests! I feel for those who may never have been out in the timber. When there you feel the cooling effect the forests have. It is usually 10 degrees or more cooler than out in the open. If I had my druthers and was able, my preference would be to live out where the big trees grow. We used to have an abundance of old growth forest in Oregon, but old growth trees are hard to find now.
