A gorilla family consists of several males, one of which is dominant (the silverback), several females and young children. We were able to see two different families on the two days we hiked in. The babies and young gorillas were the most fascinating. They have a lot of energy and are very playful. They also are more curious about humans and were always stealing glances or even staring as this one is. However, Mom isn't far away.
