There's a story behind these empanadas

We were finished our vineyard tour of Underagga and were a little hungry. We decided to get empanadas and asked the tour driver if he knew a good spot. Not only did he know of what he claimed to be the best spot in Santiago, he said he could call our order ahead so we wouldn't have to wait. This sounded great, so we figuring out how many we wanted for the seven of us (including the driver). Well we had to have a few cheese, some regular beef, some spicy beef, some chicken, etc. The final count was about 30 or so. Well, while we were figuring this out, the driver is warning Angie (in Spanish) about the size of Chilean empanadas. We showed up at the place shocked into hysterics as two LARGE platters of empanadas hit the table. The driver told Anna, "I told your sister." Angie says, "Well, everyone knows Chilean empanadas are huge." Not us gringos, oh well, we ate about half of the feast for lunch, took the rest back to the hotel for dinner over the Yankees-Mets game on ESPN later that night.
