To my amazement, a sea gull perched down on this wood stump only 6 feet from
where I was sitting. A rare photographic opportunity. But I did not want to
blow it. Sure, I could have just opened up aperture to f/2.8 and blurred the
b'jesus out of the background, especially if I had totally zoomed in to the
max 75mm. But I saw the potential of getting a little context and composition
with the interesting, and delightful background provided by Universal Studios.
