Your cloud photo is one of an altocumulus cloud. Nimbus means rain, so unless the cloud is producing rain it cannot be a nimbus cloud. Just a note there is no such cloud as a altocirrus. Check out www.skyeyeweather.com and subscribe to their newsletter. There will be an article of clouds in their November issue which you mught find of some interest.

No, that's more like Cirrus or Stratocirrus clouds. Nice shot, though. Keep up the good work.
