Thought to be the largest Maya archaeological site in southern Belize, Lubaantún is located about a mile beyond the village of San Pedro Columbia.
Lubaantún was on of the last major settlements built in Belize prior to the collapse of the Maya. This short lived Late Classic site, was built and occupied from approximately 730 AD to 890 AD.
