This was the 1st Skua of the trip, and caused much excitement!

I had heard someone mention a Tern, but in my haste to get a shot of the Skua, I didn't even realize I also had the Tern! I didn't see it until looking at my photos afterwards.

Even in this fuzzy shot, the short bill and steep forehead, along with the obviously long tail streamers, mark this gray-bodied tern as an Arctic. This was a lifer for both Steve and I, and we saw several over the 3 days.
