This bird was making a really close pass by the boat, and only luck got the focus this crisp. You can notice some light mottling on the throat of this bird. None of the other Eastern NA Pterodroma's are uniform dark above except Trindade (Herald). Herald Petrel is to be split, with the Pacific birds being Herald and Henderson, and the Atlantic being Trindade.
