Not a great shot, but a decent profile. Lesser's are very sleek and elongated gulls, lacking the bulky look of Herring. The bill is thin, with little gony angle. The overall appearance of the underparts is lightly streaked, on a light background. Some young Herring's give a mottled impression, but on a darker background.
