These Buffy shots were taken in the rain, but my best so far with the species. It's nice to get looks like this at Buffies and Baird's, as lately most of my looks have been coming from LONG distance, at sod farms or across distant flats on KY Lake.

These birds are among the most distinctive and beautiful of the shorebirds that pass through here each fall. This bird was just walking around by itself in a drained pool, and blended in so well that I almost drove right by.
