They commented on that when the BBC were doing the walk-about on the grid before the start, the guy (I can't remember his name...the guy with the radio mike who walks about, i'm sure you know who i mean) passed about £100,000 of lenses just leaning against one of the barriers completely unattended on his way into the melee.
