El puente Ingeniero Carlos Fernández Casado es un puente atirantado que cruza el Embalse de Barrios de Luna, en León (España), formando parte de la AP-66 o Autopista Ruta de la Plata. Fue inaugurado en 1983, marcando un récord mundial de longitud de un puente atirantado con tablero de hormigón durante algunos años, y también el récord de longitud de un puente atirantado de hormigón pretensado. Tiene dos torres que dividen el puente en dos vanos laterales de 66 m y uno central de 440. La longitud total del puente es de 643 m y su ancho es de 22. En el centro del vano central, hay una articulación. Cada torre tiene 2×27 tirantes delanteros y 2×28 traseros, más de 100 m con columnas separadas 20 m y se abren en la parte inferior. Actualmente es el puente con el mayor vano de España y una de las mayores obras de ingeniería que existen.

The bridge Engineer Carlos Fernandez Casado is a suspension bridge that crosses the damming of Barrios de Luna (León, Spain), forming a part of the AP-66 or Highway Route of the Silver. It has two towers that divide the bridge in two vains of 66 m each and the central one of 440. The total length of the bridge is 643 m with a width of 22. In the center of the central vain, there is a joint. Every tower has 2×27 front suspenders and 2×28 backs (220 in whole), the towers have slightly more than 100 m, its columns are separated 20 m and are opened in the low part. Also each one has two stirrups - counterweights of 34 m. Nowadays it is the bridge with the major vain one of Spain and one of the major works of engineering in the country.
