Carrara, Collodi, and Uzzana

We went to Carrara in the lower Alps as a day trip from Lucca. It's where Michaelangelo and Henry Moore got their marble.

Collodi is a small Tuscan town where the author of Pinnochio came from; we never actually went into the town.

Terrific! Thanks for sharing. We are going to be in Lucca for 6 days at the end of April/beginning of may. We were thinking that we would drive to Carrara.....now I know we will most certainly! Again, thanks! ghetian from slow travel
