I didn't get to see any Black Bears but I could see where they had been within the past 24 hours. These are fresh scratch marks. The wood on the ground was dry which means it was less than 24 hours since the Bear had been here. Two days earlier it had rained close to 1" in this area so the wood chips were not on the ground at that time.
