Costa Azul view (Blue Coast).
The Costa Azul Trail has an extension of 2,300 meters and can be covered in about two hours walking. Its starting point is the Remédios Village, where the female prison from the 18th. century is situated.
But the trail really discloses in the Pico Street, where in some passages natural belvederes in direction to the Cachorro and Meio Beaches are formed.
The trail ends at the Conceição Beach, where the Pico Mount, which can be seen from all island points, is situated. Turning round the mount among the rocks you reach to the Sta. Cruz Fort ruins.
